"Playing like a fool will get you nowhere", said nobody, ever, in relation to this level.

Alright, so that's not strictly true. Being too careless is always going to be a death sentence on any level, but for reasons I can no longer remember I didn't feel like taking my time on this occasion; instead I just ran on at full speed and played like as much of an idiot as I could safely get away with. And it really shows, with some horrendous timing, sloppy weapon use, and it's just an all-round spaztastic display of getting hit by damn-near everything I encounter. In other words, this is how NOT to play Mega Man 3 if you're trying to show off for whatever reason.

On the other hand, this one is not a particularly difficult level (it's certainly easier to stupidly run through than either Gemini Man or Snake Man) and it's pretty short with it, leaving only Needle Man to deal with while actually needing my brain to be switched on. As (bad) luck would typically have it, one of the most agile bosses in the game is weak to what's possibly the most cumbersome and difficult weapon to use against him.

Yes, Gemini Laser is pretty shite here and ultimately relies more on your target sitting still, rather than the laser itself quickly clearing a good distance and bouncing all over the place with enough speed to hit a moving target before vanishing. A disappointing weapon really, but at least on this occasion it nets Needle Cannon.

Which is just a glorified Mega Buster when you think about it, but in practice is actually somewhat better than it sounds.

Oh, and Rush Jet too. Which is almost gamebreaking in how it can be used to avoid/neuter many tricky platforming segments.
