MiSTer FPGA - Beetlejuice / Game Boy
0I stumbled upon this one while looking for different Halloween-ish games on Game Boy, and actually found it to be somewhat decent. Sure it's simple, but there are enough variations in the different levels and mini-games that it ends up being an all-around solid game, from what I've played. There are no continues, so you really want to go for the 1up's in this one. I missed a few of them along the way that would have really helped in the later mine cart stage. This game is based on the animated series, and developed by Rare. It's a solid platformer with an enjoyable soundtrack by David Wise.
This is the first Game Boy title I've uploaded to the channel. I didn't grow up with one so I don't know the library very well, but have been exploring it a bit lately. Great system! I've found quite a few good games and I've barely scratched the surface of the massive library for it. An NES controller feels great with this system. There will be many more Gameboy videos in the future, as I explore the library further.
