MiSTer FPGA - Gradius (Nemesis UK Version) [1cc] / Konami GX400 Arcade
My first 1cc for Nemesis! This international version of Gradius ramps up in difficulty a bit quicker and has sections with increased difficulty across the board.
This was also the furthest I've made it with one life so far, and like so many other entries in the series the dreaded corridor of doom got me.

The path is clear now for me to return and try for a no-miss run. At the second wave of squares that spawn in that final section after the narrow corridor I feel I should just align to the bottom where the lower enemy spawns are coming up. With powerups remaining the final area with the weird electric fence thing should be pretty easy. Maybe I'll try for this on stream soon. I would also like to go for a two-loop clear of the Japan original Gradius, whenever that makes its way to MiSTer.
It's hard to believe this was released in the same year as Finalizer: Super Transformation, which was the last Konami arcade game I showcased on MiSTer: • MiSTer FPGA - Finalizer - Super Trans...
