12Here's a pretty wild new enhancement for MiSTer: XE-1AP support in the PC Engine core- used here with a Thrustmaster T.16000m for analog aiming! Thanks to David Shadoff for adding support for this! I tried this with multiple sticks and the Thrustmaster is by far the best, with the hall-effect sensors making it smooth as butter. 3 loops cleared with no deaths. Looking to get into MiSTer FPGA? I had no idea this was an infinite-loop game before now, but after clearing three loops without dying in this run, that seems to be the case. Control is incredibly smooth and intuitive in with the flight stick in this game, which closely mimics the arcade gun actually with the pivot point actually aiming on the screen and trigger feeling perfect. I used a side-button with my other hand to lob grenades.
Make sure to set the input device as "XE-1AP" in the core before loading the game.
MiSTer's PC Engine core was transformed into the most accurate way to play this console besides original hardware, largely in part thanks to efforts by srg320. He also created our SNES, Sega CD and Sega 32x cores, and is currently working on a Sega Saturn core for MiSTer.
