S T A L K E R: Call of Pripyat - ( 2022 ) Video #177: The River Port ( Part 2 )
I return to the River Port to finish what I started. This time I completely find and kill all the Monolith, including the Preacher who was praying at the tower. From him I get his PDA and a stash activation. I know that killing him means an unorganized Monolith attack at the Evacuation. Failing to kill him means my chances of getting everyone out alive at the Evacuation is greatly more difficult.
There is so much loot here, that I'm glad I broke off my attack earlier and didn't try to do it all in one trip. I'm trying to avoid using up what little Hercules I have, so I'm dumping vodka and pistols first to keep from having to use it. The River Port has a great view of this corner of Pripyat from its tower. It would be a great place to stay awhile and set up an ambush.
Luckily for me I was still snooping around the River Port when an Emission hit. Otherwise, I might have ended up using my first dose of Anabiotics if I couldn't have made it to any shelter in time. After the Emission, I headed back to the Laundromat, and I seemed to be solving my ammo problem but only if I switch to 5.56 x 45. I'm so glad I brought my GP-37 with me through the Pripyat Underground. Like all the Stalker Games, it's best to use the weapons that you can get the free ammo for. A high-end rare weapon ( Vintar BC, Tunder S14, SVD or SVU ) becomes useless if you can't find the ammo for it in the field.
