S T A L K E R: Call of Pripyat - ( 2022 ) Video #178: "One, if by Land, and Two, if by River Port"
After returning to the Laundromat my routine in Pripyat is different. There's no repairing used weapons and there's no selling or trading. I have to store all the used weapons for delivery to Zaton and Jupiter at a later time. For this reason, I'm very aware of my dwindling ammo and just how much longer I can keep using some of my weapons. Attacking the River Port was using up my 5.45 x 39, which was low to begin with, after using it to go west and exploring several locations. I also discovered that the majority of the Monolith weapons were using 5.56 x 45 which were NATO weapons. I had been slowly building up more of it and unless I took the Military mission soon, I might have to switch to my GP-37.
If I could find more 5.45 x 39 in Pripyat that would be helpful. Currently as previously mentioned, I'm trying to avoid the School where Zulu will need my help in a Snork ambush but that may have to be pursued anyway. Why? I left the Laundromat rather quickly and thought I would travel through the Hospital and the River Port without hinderance and loop around to either the
Prometheus Movie Theater, where I might find more ammo or go directly to my goal of the Old Service Center for the Calibration tools.
There is a saying "The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry" and that is exactly what has happened. I don't find the River Port empty. I find it full of Monolith again. Not as many but enough to make me have to deal with them. There's even a few Zombies too. It didn't take long at all for them to return and I don't remember in my other Games this happening so quickly. But that may be because I thought once I had cleared it, it was empty and no reason to go back. I see that is not true for whatever had taken place in my Call of Pripyat Games of long ago.
So, I've got a new saying. ""One, if by Land, and Two, if by River Port" which is a variation of Paul Revere’s Ride to warn the people of New England about the invasion of the British in the American Revolutionary War. In my case the answer is "Two". The Monolith are there, and this video is about meeting them.
