S T A L K E R: Call of Pripyat - ( 2022 ) Video #186: Pripyat Departure
I stopped the previous video at the Book Store since I could not open the doors to the location of my goal inside the room with the last of the dead Monolith. I got on the internet to see if this was a common for this scenario. It had happened to other people, and I read of one person stating that they had discovered they had lost the ability to open ALL doors. When I went back to my Game, I started to run back to the Laundromat to see if that's what had happened to me, but I suddenly realized I hadn't tried the one thing that solves so many problems. The reload. Sure enough I reloaded the Manual Save I had made to take a break, and now the doors opened. Sweet.
Inside I looted the dead and then got a cutscene of what I found inside and telling Colonel Kovalsky about it. Vano and Sokolov were anxious to leave, and I don't blame them. We quickly left and I noticed they took a different direction back than I was expecting. I followed them as best I could being overladen with loot. Soon we were back at the Laundromat and after repairs, resupplies and dumping my loot, I decided it was time to leave Pripyat, to give the Calibration tools to Nitro in Jupiter and Cardan in Zaton, and get the third-tier upgrades on all my weapons, armors and helmets. I also loaded up on high-end weapons to repair and sell ( only afterward did I realize I could have gotten the Military Repair Tech to repair all the used weapons for free ) but since their selling prices were so high, it would be difficult to find rich buyers.
First stop was Jupiter where I got Nitro to upgrade all my weapons and armors, noting that he could do them all but one upgrade on the Sphere M12 helmet. I guess I needed to go to the Mobile Lab for that one, but it was no hurry. I would stick with the Tactical helmet since it had the infrared scanner, which shows enemies on your Mini-Map, which is great for entering buildings. The only downside is it doesn't show you what floor if the building has multiple levels. Either way an incredibly useful tool and enough of one not to use an Exoskeleton, and also wonder why it was never an upgrade option for it too.
Next, it is on to Zaton and an Emission has happened while I was traveling. I give the Calibration tools to Cardan but hold back on showing him the Gauss Gun until I take care of all my other business first. I go about selling all the high-end weapons I can, that no one could afford in Jupiter. I grab all the weapons I have in my Skadovsk stash and get them the third-tier upgrades. After going outside and testing the adjustable scope on the GP-37 on some passing Zombies, I go back inside and stand before Cardan where I end the video. The next video will be me showing the Gauss Gun and what happens next.
