Luckily, the trek to Sagitta isn't very plot heavy. When the gang arrives, they meet with Sirius, the village elder, who tells them that his people's purpose is to destroy the Ba'al, and if it takes down the Skyhold with it (and kills Agnès in the process), well, you know what they say about omelettes. It's just like with Professor Norzen. The gang swears they'll find a way to save her and defeat the Ba'al.

For starters, they want to get a closer look at the SP cannon, because holy cow, that's a big gun. Our guide and new friend Lotus explains the principle behind SP: much in the same way energy can be harnessed from the flow of air or water, SP is energy harnessed from the flow of time. They're kinda vague about it, and honestly, I respect that. You don't need detailed explanations for everything. All you need to know is that the Sagitta can store it and generate it by sleeping in special beds, which makes our hourglass special in that we don't need to sleep at all.

Yew wants to know more about the nature of SP, though, so Lotus suggests they go to the ruins of Old Sagitta to see if there's any literature on the subject, but that can wait.

Back in Florem, there's a singer/composer by the name of Rocca Pellar, who just so happens to be the grandson of the famous wandering bard, Arca Pellar. Back in Bravely Default, Tiz and the gang traveled the world to find pupils of Arca Pellar in order to find out the secret behind the power of song and defeat Praline a la Mode. Now, Rocca Pellar needs help because he found a long-lost song by his grandfather and he's been accosted by two familiar faces. He couldn't actually understand them, though, so he figures Edea can help him out.

On one side of this dilemma, it's none other than the Diva of the Battlefield, Praline a la Mode herself. She wants to take that long-lost song and remix it into a modern sensation. But would her version render the song meaningless? On the other side, Captain Hayreddin Barbarossa. He loves this long-lost song (it's called "The Grand Ship," after all) and especially the part where it's dedicated to men of the sea. He would hate to see it stripped of its meaning against the wishes of Arca Pellar.

This is another one of those dilemmas where I really don't care about the outcome. Like, they don't have to be mutually exclusive. Both versions of the song can exist! It's fine! That's why I resorted to gameplay reasons for settling this one.

The Pirate's specialty is inflicting stat debuffs with physical attacks. It's not like it's worthless, but the Patissier already does debuffs, and can eventually multi-target them. The Performer's main thing, on the other hand, is providing buffs. They're weaker and not as varied as the Astrologian's buffs, but they're multi-target by default, so that's what I chose.

Next time, we'll be at Old Sagitta!
