Dark Destiny is a King's Field fangame by DMPDesign made in the Sword of Moonlight editor. The game follows the story of Dias Bagil, the man who would go on to become KF1US's Necron, as he seeks to unlock the darkness hidden deep inside him.

Filled up flasks, it's time to go get that Gaia Stone!

First, back to the first room in the central barracks that I came to from Rolf's zone. Remember that one room off to the north with two exits to new areas? You want the one next to a sign telling you the Big Mine is ahead. No side paths to take, just a straight shot into the area indicated by a music change once you've officially entered the area.

For now, just stick to the wall on your left side as you face north entering the area and follow it as it snakes around the area. You should find a person to talk to. He'll sell you a Miner's Map for 1000 gold if you keep talking to him (And can find a Crystal in a barrel next to him to boot!). Worry not if you don't have the money for it right now as you'll have enough by the end of this area.

Keeping your hand on that left wall like you were before, you should run into an Earth Dragon. Recall that the fairy queen in the last video said that the key to reaching the Gaia Stone lies with these enemies.

Long story short? If you see one, kill it! There are two in this area of the cave. They're more deadly with their ranged attacks (tossing a stone and a spread of green shots), but thanks to the new leg upgrade I picked up, the damage taken is quite manageable.

You should have a total of 3 Earth Dragons killed by the time you spot a Blood Stone in the distance (With that 3rd Earth Dragon likely being in your path). From that Blood Stone, face west. Keep the wall on your right side and follow it. You should end up in a room of giant ants. After fighting through them and some scythe wielding dingbats, you'll find a locked chest in the back which you can open with your Gold Key. Inside is 720 gold.

After running back to that npc to purchase the Miner's Map, I return to where the 3rd Earth Dragon was killed, then go northeast, but not to where the Blood Stone was. If you do this, you'll see a hole in the ground which takes you to another portion of the caverns. There's nothing to really do down there besides find a pedestal with an indentation that looks similar to the Orladin's Key pedestals from KF2US...which, OF COURSE, I don't have, haha. Thankfully there's another hole near that pedestal which leads back to the last cave.

After falling through, head back to where that lone Blood Stone was found, face west, keep the wall on your right side, but this time skip the path leading the 720 gold chest and keep moving onwards. You should end up at a shrine with some lizardmen outside of it. The lizardmen are easy kills.

Inside of the shrine is a giant freaking enemy of some kind. Nothing hard to deal with either. It'll drop some gold, but more importantly, it'll drop the second Light Crystal.

As for the three paths available in the temple, north leads to a save point and some lovely enemies. The red lizardmen add a ranged fireball to their attack pool while the snakemen can toss the Flame Wall spell at you or fire a spread of three purple arrows. These arrows hurt quite a bit, enough to knock off at least 100 hp if two connect.

The south path leads to an area with regenerating snakes. Significant because you can train up your strength & magic here if you want with a low chance of Verdite dropping from the snakes.

As for the western path into another cave? You'll find an iced over pool of water with the Aquarion Boots sitting atop it. Taking the boots makes the ice go away, a hint as to what their ultimate use will be later on.

Exit the shrine now and go east to a Crystal. Turn and face west, follow the wall to your right and it'll lead you to another large area with lizardmen. There's an entrance into another temple like area with baby slugs or something like that...and a stone chest, the other kind of locked chest I do not know where the key for is located.

From this shrine entrance, go east around a wall to a pool of water with a Crystal in it, then check out the wares of the new merchant nearby if you wish, then go south of that nearby shrine entrance to find a hole leading to next part of the caves you'll want to explore.

More next time!
