Dark Destiny is a King's Field fangame by DMPDesign made in the Sword of Moonlight editor. The game follows the story of Dias Bagil, the man who would go on to become KF1US's Necron, as he seeks to unlock the darkness hidden deep inside him.

Time to go exploring in yet another new area.

Head south across the bridge, then go west (Ignore the east path for the moment). There's a merman here who can shoot water eggs or slap you in melee.

Continue west and follow the path until you reach a building. Inside this building is the journal of Atainius and a woman to talk to. She goes a bit into why Atainius came to this area and mentions that a pair of certain boots will help you reach his palace. Basically, you need the Aquarion Boots to do that.

If you go across the bridge to the south, you'll find more enemies and a chest at the end. With the Gold Key, you can open it for a Dragon Crystal.

Now, back to that path east I said to ignore. Follow out to a merman just chilling around. There's a save point & pedestal nearby. Use them, then go across the bridge nearby to what appears to be a dead end. This is where you need the boots. You can use them via your item list to make a bridge form in the water. Take it west all the way to a small island with a teleport that'll lead you into Atainius's Palace.

In the new area, go south to a pedestal with an indentation of a water crystal in it. You'll need to find something called a Chamber Stone to activate it.

Go east first, then south as soon as you can to find a switch in the back which you should press.

Heading north as far as you can go leads to another one of those doors sealed by a lock requiring an Orladin's Key-esque item. Heading all the way south of that and following the path leads to some gears by a sealed door. Interact with these gears and you can activate them to open the door.

For now though, I go back to the pedestal and go west. Follow the path to a room with a giant blue slime in it. Kill it to get Atainius' Shield, a nice upgrade to what I had currently equipped.

North of that room has more of the chests I can't find the damned key for as well as arrow traps that do a ton of damage if one hits. South is the way to go in the big slime room. You'll reach more gears to activate and a save point.

Back in the big slime room, the water has stopped here. Check the center of the room for some Mage Claws, gloves with some nice resists on them.

Back to the other set of gears to activate them and go through the door. This leads to a cave area with some mine tracks going north. Head all the way to the end, use your pickaxe to get a Water Stone.

Next, go southeast, then south to a cart over a pit. Get in it, activate it, then walk along with it to the other side. Follow the path all the way to a room with five blue salamanders. This can actually be a tricky fight if you just go in guns blazing since they have homing icicles at their disposal. Take it slowly killing them off and the chest in the room unlocks, allowing you to claim the Chamber Stone from it.

Return back to the entrance of the area and use that Chamber Stone on the pedestal to unlock the way south. In this room are two chests. One is a mimic, the other needs the Gold Key to open the chest for a Water Crystal, the second one. This gives you access to the Ice Bird spell which costs 12 mp and sends out a bird that can home in on an enemy.

The big prize in this room? The Depleted Fire Crystal in the back. Taking it hits you with a few status effects. Nothing too serious though with the exception of curse which halves your strength & magic stats.

The Depleted Fire Crystal will allow you to activate that dried up fountain in the hidden area in the West Coast where the screen was flashing blue and grant you access into a new area there.

After this, I warp to the gold fountain to refill my flasks, then warp back to my Star Key to save up. Got a bit left to do in this area.

I really hope I find the two keys I'm looking for soon though...and no, Harvine's Key isn't one of them. I know where it is and I'm kicking myself for missing it.
