Dark Destiny is a King's Field fangame by DMPDesign made in the Sword of Moonlight editor. The game follows the story of Dias Bagil, the man who would go on to become KF1US's Necron, as he seeks to unlock the darkness hidden deep inside him.

If you'd like to play this game, the full installer can be found here:

Time to knock out all of those quests in Central Village while doing a bit of item cleanup in the process.

A little off screen preparation here where I made sure the lucky lure quest was activated and I tossed my Star Key into the pedestal at Central Village.

Starting off in Atainius's Domain, I head east across the bridge. There's a merman here that wasn't around before. Killing it nets you the Moonlight Tear, the item Jose on the West Coast was looking for.

En route to the West Coast, I stop off at the South Village to open that locked house with my Copper Key. Heading through it leads to some enemies, a couple Earth Herbs, and a chest with Verdite in it.

At the West Coast, I detour to the scorpion cave (The Mama Kraken cave from KF1US) to open a chest behind a waterfall with my Copper Key to get a Verdite, then go to deliver the Moonlight Tear to Jose. You'll get 1000 gold as a reward.

Back to Central Village to take the next job, but before that, I talk to the knight with little to say. After several chats, he hands over a Dragon Crystal just to get you to shut up. Works for me!

As for the 2nd job, you are to see Celffy. His goods were swiped off of his courier in West Village by some giant treeman so that's our next destination,

I decide to detour through Harvine's Old Castle to pick up something I should have gotten when I was first here. Remember the ghost at the fountain? After killing the knights that spawn in the throne room after interacting with the painting, you can talk to the ghost to get Harvine's Key.

En route to the throne room, the chest just outside of it with the wall face (that nearly killed me the first time I was here) can be unlocked with Harvine's Key for a Demon Shield.

In the throne room, there are two hidden walls on the west and east side. West leads to a Harvine's Pick while the east hidden wall leads to Harvine's Flute. Both require Harvine's Key to unlock their respective chests. The Flute is not required to beat the game, but it does let you get to some more treasure.

Now, to East Village. I head off to the graveyard for Harvine's military people and loot all the chests I can with Harvine's Key, coming out with a Crystal, Silver Boots, Silver Arm Guards, and Evil Crescent. The latter is actually hidden by another wall in an empty hidden room. That weapon has massive physical stats, but places auto-curse on you (half strength & magic).

Now, the target for Celffy's job is down the well en route to Leon's house, but first, we need to go speak with Leon. I guess he's willing to cooperate, but warns to serve Guyra is to greet destruction. Leon, I don't think Necron is really giving two damns about that right now...

In any case, check inside his house and claim the 2nd Shrine Key, then observe the painting on the wall with the two knight's shields and the emblems on them. This is a hint to a puzzle later on (And happens to be the exact same one from KF1US too).

Anyways, back to that well to drop down it, kill the giant treeman, grab Celffy's Sack, then warp back to Central Village to give it to him and be rewarded with 1200 gold for your efforts.

The third job involves talking to JDO outside. He mentions experiments involving Harvine's basilisks and the Widdas, a race you heard about and fought in KF: The Ancient City. He wants you to head down to the Widda temple and make a rubbing of an incantation on some paper he hands to you.

This incantation can be found in the temple where you got the 2nd Light Crystal. Remember the dead end that lead to a save point? There's a plaque on the wall with the incantation so just use the Rice Paper near it to get the Widda Incantation, then return to JDO and give it to him. You get 500 gold for this and are told to return as you may want to find out what he can make out from the incantation.

Translation? The fourth and final quest next time!

But of course, one thing to get with that Harvine's Flute. Remember the bridge you crossed to get from Rolf's barracks to the central barracks? If you peek down the sides of them, you may notice a spot which you can jump down to. Use Harvine's Flute to create a bridge across, then use Harvine's Key to unlock the chest for Harvine's Ring. Boosts wind resistance, grants immunity to slow.
