Dark Destiny is a King's Field fangame by DMPDesign made in the Sword of Moonlight editor. The game follows the story of Dias Bagil, the man who would go on to become KF1US's Necron, as he seeks to unlock the darkness hidden deep inside him.

We're in the colisseum finally...and with some rad music to listen to as well.

The first room with enemies you come to is important. Namely, the skeleton mages' spells do some rather good damage and the fact there's a hidden wall by the second set of spike pits going west. You need to take this as your only other paths you can take lead to either pits or swinging maces that impede your progress forward. You should eventually hit a long hallway going west or east with a couple ice golems in it. There's a couple hidden walls in this hallway that seal up some pits so you can cross them.

After you cross the sealed up pit to the west, keep an eye out for two more hidden walls with switches behind them. These two will stop the swinging maces in front of a door you couldn't get to earlier.

Before going through that door between the swinging maces, look around the area for a Mage's Key chest you can open for an Ice Mage Blade, a pretty solid weapon with high physical stats across the board and a high water attack stat.

But anyways, that door between the swinging maces leads to an arena of sorts. If you go to the circle in the ground in the center of a room, you'll be greeted by some jerk wizard who sealed away Guyra's powers because he was denied power or something like that. This kicks off a series of battles. After each one, you can claim an item from the flaming pillars nearby.

Wave #1 - Floating soldiers who toss ice chunks or ice mist at range. Nothing too nasty. If needed, the Ice Boots & Ice Crystal Armor can help reduce the damage of the ranged moves. Reward for this wave is the Gladiator's Boots.

Wave #2 - Five silver giants. Not as big as the dark colored ones from Thedeck's Keep, but it's five enemies. Don't let yourself get surrounded here. Void Beam can be extremely useful in hitting everything while you choose a giant to smack with your weapon while waiting for your magic meter to refresh. Gladiator's Crown is the reward here.

Wave #3 - One minotaur. Has a shockwave attack it uses if you're not right up next to it. Not really hard to kill with a combo of weapon swinging & magic casting to keep it stunlocked. The minotaur forks over a Dragon Crystal while the equipment reward is a Gladiator's Shield iand it's my endgame shield since it grants hp draining properties. Seath's Helm + Gladiator's Shield = hp & mp drain on every hit an enemy takes. I like this!

Wave #4 - Two gargoyles. Watch out for ranged attacks from one while you're wailing on the other. Aside from that, easy fight. Gladiator's Armor is the reward here.

Wave #5 - A dragon pet and a large blue warrior. Kill the dragon pet first since it has less health, then focus on the other guy. Shouldn't be too tricky. Gladiator's Arm Guards is the reward here with the dragon pet dropping an extra reward, the Dragon Band. This accessory boosts strength by 10. Good for me since my hp/mp regen comes from leeching it back from enemies thanks to Seath's Helm & Gladiator's Shield.

Wave #6 - Final wave against the old wizard who made us go through all this. He's all about spell slinging. The highest damage attacks go to the purple arrows, but other than that, he's toast when you can close into melee range and stunlock him to death. He drops the final Light Crystal as well as a new weapon, the Gladiator's War Blade, appearing in the center of the room. Nice weapon it is...but I'm about to get something even better back at the golden fountain.

Warp back to the golden fountain now, place the final Light Crystal where it belongs, then head inside to claim the Eclipse Blade and get praised by Guyra for unlocking his powers. He then tells you to visit his chamber in the arena. That's good and all, but Necron is going to love his ultimate weapon in his hands right now in the form of that Eclipse Blade. Boasts the highest overall physical attack stats of any weapon in the game.

Back to the arena now. As you head east, note the four sealed doors. These are meant to represent the rooms in which Necron would place his guardians from KF1US.

At the end of the path to the east is the head of Guyra. He gives you the Circle of Twelve item which will allow you to warp to Verdite Castle, the final area of the game. You can only do this at the pentagram in this room though.

Castle invasion next time!
