Exit Fate is a role playing game made in RPGMaker by SCF. With 75 characters to recruit, a mixture of typical turn based combat and war battles, and an engaging story, the result is a very Suikoden-esque game.

The latest version of the game can always be found here:

Back in Blackwater to go see Sally about getting a ride out to the island where Midian is living. She's still standing where she dropped you off on your first visit to the port town...or would be. There's an npc who mentions that Sally was mumbling something about Kirgard's army and her great-grandfather's hidden treasure. Clearly that's going to end well for all involved.

Thankfully, the npc mentions she went to a small uninhabited island not too far from port. He offers to take the team there to make sure she's safe and not going to go head on into a Kirgard platoon. Make sure your good to go and take up his offer to be whisked away to the island.

The new enemies on the island aren't too much to be concerned about. Maneaters have a lot of hp and a strong physical strike, but so long as your frontline's filled with bulky heavy hitters like Outsider or Mike, you'll take it out long before anyone's in danger of dying.

Forest Spirits...fairies that don't really do much of note, but they do have Silver Dusts that Joe can steal. Not a bad idea to have him do this for each Forest Spirit you run into.

Yellow Puddles can cast Lightning for some minor damage and have extremely high physical defense. No magic defense to speak of though so one Splash from Ljusalf is going to delete them instantly.

Just a few treasure chests here. A couple have some consumables like a Silver Dust & Ice Cube. One located south from the second save point (which I'd like to mention is literally all of one screen away from the first save point) has a Bronze Plate, granting 5 pdf for 3 weight. I toss this on Daniel since he's still running strong in the frontline.

Once you hit the third save point (which is maybe two screens tops from the second save point, heh), make sure you're healed up since a cutscene begins once you exit to the east and start going north.

As it turns out, Kirgard's gotten to the island first with none other than Bruce and a small squad of soldiers. Apparently Keyser sent Bruce here to locate the so called Secret of Zelmony, whatever that might turn out to be.

Upon unearthing the chest containing the secret, Bruce is about to open it up when Sally comes running in at lightspeed to keep him from even laying one hand on it. Nothing Bruce can do is going to make her move. She even throws out some choice insults until Daniel's group arrives. Sally steps out of the way on command so Daniel's group can deal a blow to Bruce's pride in combat.

Bruce comes with four Kirgard 2nd soldiers. Not too much hp on them and they don't have anything worthwhile to steal. Just keep your frontliners healthy since someone getting focused heavily is going to result in a big chunk of their health going poof.

As for Bruce, he's got two attacks to watch for. Firestrike hits a column for decent damage, usually around 30+. Red Storm hits for 10-25 to everyone, but also can inflict blind, basically crippling your physical powerhouses. He does have a nifty Bronze Badge to steal, the second tier of strength boosting accessories which boosts said stat by 2.

Direct all of your single target attacks towards Bruce. Ljusalf & Daniel should be spamming AoE magic to deal with the soldiers. If anyone needs a heal, let a speedy unit like Col or Joe handle it.

Once Bruce goes down, he'll drop some Hard Boots (+2 pdf for 1 weight).

After the battle, Bruce runs away in defeat as Sally opens up the chest to see what's inside. Turns out the Secret of Zelmony is a recipe for some quality Zelmony rum. That's sure a secret that would have helped Kirgard, wasn't it?

As thanks for helping her get the treasure back, Sally offers to take the party to any port town unlocked that isn't under enemy control. She also joins the army, but sadly all her bravado doesn't help her in combat with rather poor stats physically & magically.

More next time!
