Exit Fate is a role playing game made in RPGMaker by SCF. With 75 characters to recruit, a mixture of typical turn based combat and war battles, and an engaging story, the result is a very Suikoden-esque game.

The latest version of the game can always be found here:

Time to get out of the area post haste. If Kirgard were to take over Bayport, any chance of getting out of the area would be almost null & void. As such, that's where our duo heads off to.

Remember that house with the shop & librarian? There's a dock to its south with a boat. Examine it to find out the owner is a girl that was heading for the tavern. She may just be our ticket out of here!

At the tavern, the girl in question is sitting all alone at a table. Her name is Sally and she seems willing to give the duo a ride to the port of Blackwater, but requires 60 Arn for payment. Seems a bit steep, but we're out of options so we're gonna have to pony up. She'll head to her ship so just bring the payment there...after visiting Alfheim again.

Why head back there? Stromgaard was looking for a way off the island as well. Since we have a ride procured, he now wants to tag along as well.

Stromgaard's about as physically strong as Daniel, maybe a pinch better. His weapon is long range, meaning he can be put in the very back without taking a penalty to his physical damage.

Back at Bayside, have your 60 Arn ready to pay Sally and you'll be off...and not a moment too soon because the very next scene is Kirgard taking over the port.

At Blackwater, we'll need to go to the inn to get some rest before deciding on our next course of action. There's some interesting folk like the girl on the docks, Griever. She seems to have a gloomy look, but as one of the townsfolk points out, she's happy whenever she's feeding cats.

Funny enough, in one of the other houses in the eastern side of town, there's a stray cat loitering about. Talking to it causes the kitty to run off and make haste out of town. Grab the Battery in the house before leaving.

Also around town, there's a girl by the name of Meiko. She seems interested in writing down the stories that war veterans like Daniel have.

At the inn, you'll need 15 Arn to rest up. Sell the Battery if you need to.

The next day, Daniel's all alone. Downstairs is Ljusalf, Stromgaard, and a female Kirgard soldier. Seems like running away might not have worked, but that's far from the case as this girl is Ayara, one of the soldiers in Daniel's second division at Kelsinger Pass. She may just have the answers we've been searching for as the team heads upstairs to get a room.

Ayara begins to tell her side of the story of what happened at Kelsinger Pass...she and her squad were all asleep, only to be awakened by a noise outside. Ayara was about to go investigate when a couple people in Kirgard uniforms came in. Her captain went up to ask what's happening outside....only to get killed on the spot. Cue the sneak attack firing off on all cylinders, the likes of which Ayara and a few lucky others barely survived before reinforcements saved the day.

One question still remains though...how does Daniel factor into all of this? Ayara says that after a long night, Leonius came to everyone gathered in the camp and mentions an intruder they captured and interrogated.

The sneak attack? Carried out by a small group of individuals...with Daniel allegedly being the mastermind behind it as the intruder claims. Daniel's in shock, but Ayara's whole reasoning for tracking down Daniel was that she didn't believe he could have done this for a moment.

The next big question is a rather interesting one...where was Jovian during all of this? Ayara doesn't know, only seeing a glimpse of him before moving in to take the pass.

The next scene is with all our known Kirgard generals. Their invasion was successful, but it seems to be affecting Jovian the most, given his friendship with Daniel. Angel seems to be as concerned about what happens as him too.

That night, Daniel's having a bit of a sulking meltdown...and not exactly unexpected. All the signs to him point to Jovian being a prime suspect in setting him up as a traitor, but a quick peptalk from an incoming Ljusalf convinces Daniel to believe that he didn't do what Kirgard's claiming.

The next day, Daniel has a grand plan...he still wants to stop the war, but in a surprising way...ally with the State Army. Everyone's surprised, but are very much willing to stand by Daniel to the end and that includes Ayara who joins the party.

If you were wondering if anyone would come along as a physical frontliner like Jovian, wonder no more. She's slow and bit inaccurate, but she'll still do very well.

Next time, the team heads to Mayfall City to inquire about joining the State Army.
