Exit Fate is a role playing game made in RPGMaker by SCF. With 75 characters to recruit, a mixture of typical turn based combat and war battles, and an engaging story, the result is a very Suikoden-esque game.

The latest version of the game can always be found here:

We've got a invitation to go speak with Banhk in Bergstadt, but before that happens, I'm going to check out Grunthall and one other town.

Starting out, we're just exiting the mining cavern in Grunthall. Not much to see aside from two spots, but both are important for differing reasons.

First off, the item shop located in the northwestern part of town. Nothing real noteworthy in stock, but its owner, Bartolli, mentions an order of his taking much longer than normal to arrive.

The other point of interest is right next to the item shop. There's an exit to Mt. Bosch which we'll check out later.

Next, exit town and follow the road south to the intersection, then east to the next one, then north until you reach the port town of Ansee. The first house you see is the item shop and it has Stone Amulets available for purchase.

If you head north of the item shop, you may notice someone taking a bit of a nap. Before you look for a way to get to him, check out the docks. Besides it indicating a destination that Sally can give you a ride to if you need it, there's a woman with a portrait standing around by the name of Mai.

As for that napping npc, you can enter the house in the northwest, grab the copy of Splash in the chest inside, then exit out of the house in the southeast to reach him. Turns out he's the one that's supposed to be delivering that order Bartolli put in. He hands the goods over to you and goes right back to sleep.

Return now to Grunthall and hand the goods over to Bartolli. He thanks you and offers to setup an item shop at your castle as he joins the army. Not combat capable sadly, but his shop is very nice in that it'll update with new stock as you visit shops with new items in it.

Now to finally head to Bergstadt and check out the place. The magic shop has Mend-Alls in stock while the blacksmith can upgrade your weapons to level 6.

East of the blacksmith is Banhk's office, but you'll have to go south first to find the route up to it. There is someone chilling outside the blacksmith's though and it's a familiar face, Paris, the man fighting alongside Rock during the battle at Grunthall. You can opt to recruit Paris, but he'll only join up now if you got an A rank in the Grunthall war battle. There is an alternate way later on to recruit him though.

For now, Paris joins and he's not half bad for the frontlines. Good hp & physical defense, though his speed & accuracy are bad. He does have a B rank relationship with Outsider who reciprocates that B rank relationship. Paris is another war battle commander too.

After checking out one more house with an amnesiac man with no name, it's time to go visit Banhk. The conversation goes about as well as you'd expect, especially with what Rock mentioned about the rampant corruption in the Highland.

Before the conversation ends, Jasper comes storming in out of nowhere with some breaking news...Kirgard's made a move and landed in Mayfall. We need to get back to the castle pronto as Jasper temporarily joins the team.

Before leaving Banhk's mansion, take look inside the western room. That cat is here and once again runs away upon conversing with it.

Next, a quick timeskip over to explore Mt. Bosch in Grunthall. It's a small area with only three points of interest. One is an item with some roman numerals etched into the mountainside you'll want to jot down for later.

The second point of interest is an npc by the name of Nomad who doesn't join the party, but states he's searching for the lost city of Avalon.

The third point of interest? A locked hut. We'll get back to this soon.

As for the enemies on the mountain, only the Wild Barbarians are new. I do run into an enemy that can be encountered outside town though, the Ogre. Lots of hp, can hit quite hard on light-aligned targets like Daniel.

Timeskip back to the castle, but there's someone waiting at the gates...that dang cat. Unlike every other time though, this kitty doesn't run, but rather strikes up a conversation with Daniel. Turns out this kitty recognizes how much effort he put in to track him down. He calls himself Klaus von Lichtenheim and joins the army.

Klaus has three big issues...low defenses, low hp, and one of two characters in the game who can't equip armor. Get past that though and you'll find that he can output some respectable damage that's backed up by the highest speed of any character in the game as well as high dexterity & skill.

More next time!
