Exit Fate is a role playing game made in RPGMaker by SCF. With 75 characters to recruit, a mixture of typical turn based combat and war battles, and an engaging story, the result is a very Suikoden-esque game.

The latest version of the game can always be found here:

Did some grinding off screen to pick up some extra copies of Mend. With a team of five right now, having the extra copies will do nicely if a fight drags on enough that multiple characters take some damage.

Also, I removed all of Ayara's armor. Her physical defense is still good enough, but her speed as a result goes up to a level more in line with the rest of the crew. Quite good with her high strength right now.

The dungeon the team will be running through today is Mayfall Forest. Not a particularly big one...even if I likely skipped over a couple portions of the forest since I didn't do a practice run to make sure I nailed every chest there is in the forest. I do have to backtrack through here soon though so that's not an issue.

As for new enemies, there's Goblins, Orcs, Gray Wolves, and Lizardmen. Gray Wolves & Lizardmen are the only real notable monsters. The wolves due to a fair bit of damage on their physical strike and can inflict berserk with their Rabid Bite skill. Berserked characters attack a target randomly with an accuracy penalty.

As for Lizardmen...they use bows to attack, meaning they can target back row characters. Typically are seen in tandem with Gray Wolves who basically tank hits and keep the Lizardmen safe from melee attackers.

There's one chest I get during my run through the forest, a Feathered Cap. I throw this on Ayara because it's not extremely heavy and has better defense then what she previously used.

Just as the team's making it to the forest's end, they hear a voice. Someone's apparently fighting some monsters and needs a helping hand. Everyone decides to be heroic and backtrack to find the source of this voice. Just need to head back to the save point on the previous screen and take the path going north. Equip any attack items you have on Ljusalf before going into the next area.

Upon entering into the new area, the team sees a man having some issues trying to quell an attack by a pair of rogue Mist Monsters. Daniel has the man focus on the one in front of him while his team deals with the other.

The Mist Monster has a couple attacks that pack a punch like Mist Cloud which hits everyone not named Daniel for 15-25 damage and Lightning which is roughly the same damage, but strikes everyone in a plus pattern centered on the initial target.

The Mist Monster packs a respectable 500 hp pool, but still isn't going to last long. Hates water element attacks, Ljusalf's specialty. That Blue Drop he has gets tossed for close to 85 damage. This also sets him up where he can toss out a Splash cast on his next turn to keep the heavy damage coming in.

As for the rest of the crew...they just attack away, though Ayara shows off her Wild Attack command. Hits a bit harder than her normal strike, but forces her to skip her next turn.

After a quick fight, the man thanks Daniel's team for the assist and introduces himself as Richard. He's looking into the mist monsters and suspects there's something generating them, but the deep forest areas make it a tricky endeavor to pursue. Richard continues with his work, but we may want to swing by here at some point to see if he needs our assistance once again.

After backtracking to the exit of the forest the team was trying to reach, they arrive in the town of Madrigal. A small place with little going on, but keep an eye on Cid in the inn's highest floor. He's another potential recruit in the very near future.

When you're ready, exit town. Matrech is a very short walk to the west and a bit south.

More next time!
