Exit Fate is a role playing game made in RPGMaker by SCF. With 75 characters to recruit, a mixture of typical turn based combat and war battles, and an engaging story, the result is a very Suikoden-esque game.

The latest version of the game can always be found here:

Version being played: 1.02

Got a bunch of characters to recruit before heading into the Oischin region so let's get cracking on that.

First up, you'll want to take stock of your inventory since our first destination requires several items and they are as follows...

- Brown Herb & Memento
- Leather Belt
- Brown Clay (Steal from Hermits on the Western Pass)
- Sea Spider Toxin (Buy from the guy in the mercenary hiring bar in Mayfall)
- Charged Jet

That last item you don't have yet, but worry not since there's one where we're going...Myst's hut which we've visited a couple times in the past.

On the way out of Elysium, you'll notice a guy at the entrance that wasn't there before. Talk to him to find out that Deke of Amen Corner has invited Daniel over to his mansion for a chat. That's where we'll be heading after going to Myst's hut which, if you've forgotten, is southeast of Matrech.

Once you've gotten to Myst's hut, head to the basement where he resides. You'll notice he's moved away from that book he was reciting his necromancy attempts from. The Charged Jet is in the chest nearby.

With all the ingredients, you can recite the ritual and it works, resurrecting an australian talking skeleton. Pretty rad honestly, heh.

In any case, not only does this aussie skeleton Derek join the army, Myst does as well.

First...Derek is an interesting character with a rather high magic defense score and respectable physical defense. He's also got good strength and the third highest hp total in the game, making him a solid choice for the frontline. He is quite slow though and his accuracy is bad.

Also of note...he has the first instance of a F rank relationship with Myst, meaning he takes a stat penalty with him in the team.

Speaking of Myst, I've been waiting for this guy to be recruitable because his magic nuking capabilities are on par with Midian, if not a touch higher. He's also one of three characters in the game with a very nice special skill, Focus. This grants the user 80% of their mp+ stat when used.

At Amen Corner, you'll find Deke standing outside his mansion. Make sure your formation's all setup before talking to Deke.

As Deke leads Daniel inside, he has but one request...to give some combat data for his precious Iron Golem. Sure, why not!

Anyways, the Iron Golem only has its physical and the row based Golem SMASH for its offensive options. Rather slow too which is why my smartpants strategy bumble got Yan Angwa KO'd.

Iron Golem's steal is the Granite Mail which is insanely heavy at 18 weight. Drops a copy of Frostwave too.

After the fight, the golem blows up and Deke goes even more into his mad doctor role. So much so that he's gonna travel to Elysium Castle to build something. We'll check that out in a bit.

First, Blackwater Port. Griever's here and Klaus is able to recruit her. She'll be so surprised that a cat's joined an army that she takes it as a sign that she needs to lend Daniel her strength.

Continuing the trend of solid characters joining the army, Griever's a frontliner with some very nice defenses, good hp, and acceptable strength. She even has an A-rank relationship with Klaus who in turn has his own A-rank relationship with her.

After a chat with Meiko, it's time to see what Deke's built at Elysium. He's in a room just to the west of the entrance.

Inside, Deke's built a teleporter. So long as the story wouldn't prevent you from going there, any town you've visited is now a viable warp point. Only one way though so be ready to walk back or find a port town.

Oh, and Deke's crazy antics continue when he joins the army.

Considering he provides a service, you'd think he'd be very poor combat wise. His hp, defenses, and accuracy are poor for sure, but hilariously, he actually has the second highest strengthin the game.

Finally, traveling to Ansee. At the far north side of the port is a gambling man, Johnny. You can opt to ask him to join the army and he'll comply if you win 5000 Arn from him playing blackjack. Nothing real special about this game so I just cut to the final bet of 1000.

Johnny's probably the worst one from everybody that's joined in this video with middling stats across the board, but having a semi-easy way to build up money at the castle via the mini-game is quite nice.

Finally, if you talk to Johnny when he moves to the castle, he mentions having a pet dog friend that got left behind very early in the game. We won't be able to get back there for some time though.

More next time!
