The road goes through a valley filled with trees! We dig the path for the road in two separate sections, one near a future bridge across a river and one on the end of the path that we have been digging from the mountain base.

Firstly, we fly up to the top of a mountain to get a good view of the valley from above! We glide down and land near the site of the future bridge after getting stuck in a spruce tree. There, we start digging out a path for the road!

The bridge is located near a cave entrance that goes deep into the ground! We venture in to explore and light the caves. However, we don't have much torches as we had previously explored another cave along the path of the road! We have a few inventory management issues as well when we get a carrot and potato drop from some zombies.

Fortunately, we always bring around spare Shulker boxes! After rocketing out of the caverns, we continue digging out the path of the road. The end of the bridge that we are at is located on top of a small hill. We have to raise the land a little as the side of this hill is too steep for the road!

An oak tree growing on the hill sticks out onto the road! We chop it down so we can move it further away from the road, but the tree does not drop any saplings. We head back to the mountain base to clear our inventory and grab an oak sapling from the storage system! Instead of going into the storage room the usual way, we break one of the skylights for a shortcut.

After planting down the oak sapling, we resume the digging work. This time, the road goes over a small pond so we fill in the pond with spruce planks! Eventually we want to fix the landscape to get rid of all the water, but for now we only place a thin strip of dirt blocks beside the edges of the road.

Running through the valley, we trace the route that the road would take and reach the other section of the road. We have to do some terraforming here as well since the slope is quite steep! First, we lay down spruce planks for the foundation of the road.

The road has to proceed diagonally which makes the path look jagged! However, it is fine so long as it appears smooth from afar. We sleep for the night before continuing to work on the sloping section of the road. Flying up for a better view, the road isn't as smooth as we would have liked but we can always fix it later!

Unfortunately we run out of dirt blocks after a while! We fly back to the mountain base to withdraw some dirt blocks from the storage system. We also pick up some spruce logs before trading with our villagers to mend our tools!

With stacks of dirt and spruce, we fill in the land so that it matches the height of the road. To ensure the terrain still looks natural, we make sure to replant the tall grass after we increase the height of a certain tile. We also fill in other parts of the landscape to make a smooth curve.

Flying up to a nearby peak, we look at the reformed landscape from afar. It looks quite good, but the road still looks a little uneven! The bends along the road look quite angular from our point of view. We glide down and attempt to fix it by shifting a block, but it still doesn't look right. We will have to work on it in another episode!
