[Mage] Daggerfall Unity [11] | Evolving into an Evoker | Mummy Wrappings | The Revolt | Menevia
Welcome back to The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, a role-playing game originally made by Bethesda for the MS Dos. For this playthrough, we are using the Unity remake of the game and a lot of mods to enhance the experience. The game involves navigating the sensitive political landscape of the Illiac Bay, a region of Tamriel on the fictional planet of Nirn comprising of the countries within the bay as well as the various fragmented powers surrounding it on both High Rock and Hammerfell. We have been sent to the place on a mission by our Emperor Uriel Septim VII to investigate two curious instances, the shade of King Lysandus that roams the streets of Daggerfall at night and a letter that he sent to the Queen of Daggerfall a few years ago that never reached her. Despite being a dungeon crawler at heart, Daggerfall places a lot of emphasis upon the player's individual exploration as choosing one among the various political factions in the region as they navigate the complex mess that is the Illiac Bay. In this playthrough, we will be playing as a Spellcaster and will shift our focus towards the Mages' Guild and the Order of Arkay.
Strangeblood, led by his clairvoyant abilities, went to Menevia looking for something of great importance. His senses told him that there was something laying hidden in the region which would be important later. He decided to ask the Mages' Guild for any leads and missions that they may point him towards in that regard. They agreed to send him out to random dungeons until he found what he was looking for.
As a result, the Quester, first sent him to The Crypt of Morivulon to find some Mummy Wrappings for a research he was conducting since the ones he had in stock had gone bad. Strangeblood headed to this dungeon and while it seemed like a run-of-the-mill family burial crypt, it turned out to be an expansive dungeon by the time he had finished exploring it. He had to search high and low and far and wide and even though the place was full of Mummies and Skeletons, none of them had any extra cloth that he could take to provide to his Quester. He finally found the infernal beast that he was looking for at the very end of the dungeon and that is where he decided to teleport back to his quester for a new lead. In the end, though, he found nothing else calling to him from the crypt.
He instead, decided to ask the Mage's Guild for a new quest. This time, he was handed the quest wherein one of the mages in the Mages' Guild in Uptower was planning an uprising using an army of Atronachs. Strangeblood was warned about him and told to have his shield up at all times since his students were typically very adept at Destruction Magic.
Strangeblood travelled to the mages' guild in Uptower and immediately cast invisibility on himself the first chance that he got. This led him into greater security than a shield spell could ever lend him as his enemies could not see him. After searching through the guild floor by floor, he found the rebellious conjurer hidden away at the top floor of the building. He utilised his invisibility to take care of the traitor and teleported back to the quester for a much deserved promotion after completing a few personal tasks such as the identification of his newfound loot and making a new custom spell for the fortification of his attributes.
