Samus's Log: "I haven't had Adam's voice in my head for some time now. It is strange...I almost feel like myself again. But now doubt creeps into my heart...is the man I respect so much really capable of such cruelty? Is he the true threat here? O-Of course not. I trust Adam absolutely. He has my back."

We're approaching endgame territory here, and that's marked by some enhanced versions of enemies we've already seen! Such as Mighty Griptians, those armadillo-like things! They pop up everywhere in this place, but these first ones are tougher than the rest. Still, we have the strongest offensive skills in our arsenal, almost, so they aren't too bad.

Adam's been strangely quiet since our encounter with Ridley, and now we seem to be coming close to finding the Deleter. Even when they impede our path forward, Samus.....gasp....SHOWS SOME AGENCY AND ACTIVATES HER POWERS HERSELF. Took you long enough!

In most games, the Space Jump and Screw Attack are among the last upgrades Samus obtains, and there are good reasons for that. The Space Jump usually trivializes all platforming, allowing you infinite jumps and the ability to reach heights that were once lost to you, while the Screw Attack obliterates most enemeis that come into contact with you, even destroying some parts of the environment depending on the game.

While this still holds true for the Screw Attack, the Space Jump sees less use here. The level design for Other M is less about vertical space than other Metroid games, so here the Space Jump is for crossing gaps...and you will eventually lose height. Bummer. She must be out of practice, after going the whole game without it.

The real meat of the video here is us meeting up with Madeline Bergman again, and some heavy stuff is laid at Samus's feet. Man, the Galactic Federation is full of some arrogant people, huh? Stupid too. Not to find fault with this too much but uh...this is also basically the plot of Metroid Fusion, which was made before this game so...is this just showing consistency with the Federation repeating these plans, or can no one think of a more original story here? YOU DECIDE.

And now Adam might not be the hero Samus thinks! Gee, I sure would care more if he hadn't been such a jackass to us before. One last thing of note...Samus TOWERS over Madeline here...the only person she gets to be taller than is another woman. Apparently Samus lost a foot in height within Other M, being about 5''1 but...that would make Madeline like four feet tall...and that CAN'T be right. Japan doesn't understand heights at all!!! (Also, she got caught by the Deleter, I guess. Poor girl!)

We'll close out the video with....sigh, you AGAIN? Rhedogian has no new tricks this time, but that Plasma Beam should mess it up big time. We FINALLY kill it and get...Seeker Missiles? They are just dumping powers on Samus at this point. Worth pointing out too..Seeker Missiles feel like they were created with one particular boss in mind...I'll mention it when we get to it. I find little use from them elsewhere.
Well, Adam has some 'splaining to do, so we better find him!
