Space Heads Game (Android & iOS)
Be sure that you have a steady hand in driving a spaceship. Explore a tunnel full of traps in this 3D fast-paced game called Space Heads. Your aim is to drive the spaceship inside the tunnel and avoid the metal walls, engines, and electric traps. Collect the gems on the track and save them up. You can use these gems to buy new characters and new spaceships. You can also enhance your spaceship or purchase power-ups that will help you make a longer flight. As you continue to dodge the obstacles, the spaceship also goes faster so you should watch out!

Endless runners are a whole lot of fun, and with good reason. You go at break-neck speeds through all sorts of terrain, and with a few pushes of a few buttons (or swipes of the screen as the case may be) you can do all sorts of cool things. This particular game though, switches things up a bit, and instead of running through a track, you'll be flying a space ship through futuristic sci-fi type environments. So without any further ado, welcome to Space Heads!
With a name like Space Heads, you'd think that it was more of a space shooting or vertical shooter type game. Instead, Space Heads gives you some fast-paced action that allows you to go careening through all sorts of environments while doing all sorts of stunts.
The entire game is in fancy shmancy 3D, making for some rather pretty-looking environments. The textures all work rather nicely, and the models for the different ships jive quite well with the environments, providing a great aesthetic. Sure, you'll be going too fast to really take it all in, but what you do see on the screen is all pretty and detailed enough to make you want to pause for a second or two to get a look at how well done everything is.
Added to the pretty visuals are great audio effects. It's got the fast-paced, drum-beat-laden music that works wonders with the game, giving it that sense of urgency that's so important with endless runners. It's fast enough to match the speed of the game, but not so much so that it's going to get you too frazzled. It strikes just the perfect balance.
In addition to the music, you've got great sound effects. You get sounds whenever you move, turn, or (inevitably) crash into something. These are all playful sounding, yet also with a tinge of sci-fi sound effects that are right at home with the overall design of the game. Plus, they've got that old school vibe that strikes just the right sense of nostalgia.
The controls here are fairly simple, but with a few additions to the standard endless runner formula. You can swipe left and right to go, well... left and right, obviously. But you can also swipe up and down, but not to jump or slide, but to move your ship in that direction. You'll need to do that in order to dodge obstacles, laser beams, arcs of electricity, and all sorts of other obstacles. You'll also need to move towards the bonuses if you want to get anything near a good score. One interesting addition is that you have to angle your ship at times, either vertically or horizontally to manage to fit into the thin little gaps at certain points in the game. If you're an old school gamer, then you're bound to hear talk of doing a barrel roll in the back of your head, but that's another story perhaps.
And that just about wraps it up for Space Heads. Go on and grab yourself a download, it's free to play, and it's lots of fun, so what are you waiting for? Go and have some fun with Space Heads!
