Hydra Splatling and Explosher on the other team is some long-range trouble for me. That makes it good of the Hydra Splatling to drop down too early. Going up the block sees the Explosher duck down too. I guess they must be out of ink, but that doesn't explain why they don't run. A Wave Breaker saves the Splattershot Jr, and an Inkstrike the returned Hydra Splatling, and going back to look again has them move too much. I get a bit surrounded and splatted. Not a problem, I come right back, down the side, and run in to the rather aggressive Hydra Splatling moving forwards too early again. I'm okay with that.

I risk heading in to purple turf and hiding, which would go better if I remembered that the wall next to me can be inked. Instead, I lurk underneath it ineffectively until I'm splatted. I don't think my time is best spent there. We're rather overwhelmed as I return, so I lob Burst Bombs and flick ink around us and my squidmates, dropping down when I hear a Burst Bomb hit. That bags me a splat, and I lurk again, inside the Splat Zone, looking for opportunity. It comes with the Explosher above me and my Inkzooka charging. It's a good hit.

I poke forwards, but return to the Splat Zones, threatening but remembering where I can be effective. At least, until I see an opportunity to splat the Explosher and get their ink out of the Splat Zones. That works nicely, and I drop back down to find an inkling not expecting me to be behind them, and that lets us re-capture the Splat Zones. I get some height, try to jump the gap, which I did once already, and a second time by accident, and don't make it. I need to try less, I suppose. Instead, I hold back and help cover a purple Inkstrike, keeping hold of the Splat Zones.

I try another Inkzooka, getting no luck this time, and jink around the side to help a squidmate. I push forwards, and my luck, and although I pull the inkling off the sculpture, they splat me easily. I can't return in time to keep the Splat Zones orange, and I don't catch the Hydra Splatling when they land from their B-bomb. I don't even sneak a splat on the Explosher. But I do catch the Splattershot Jr, and then the Splash-o-matic, both in the Splat Zones.

I get some height again, this time to fire the Inkzooka, which gets some inklings moving, and try to keep the Splat Zones inked after that. The Explosher has come to ground level and is causing problems, though. I get away and almost catch them on the turn, but lacking ink for a Burst Bomb lets them escape. The Hydra Splatling isn't so lucky, and heading back around the Splat Zones finds a less-well supported Explosher, flopping around in orange ink. I head up the block for another Inkzooka, seeing the Splattershot Jr below me, but not being able to hit them. Never mind, I know just where they are.

With thirty seconds left, and a good lead, we indulge in a bit of hunting, pushing forwards to stop the pressured purple team from getting to the Splat Zones, before turning around to make sure the other two can't capture them from us. We do a good job, securing the victory. Woomy!
