It might not look like I'm ready, but I'm ready! In a second! So ready that I don't even scratch the inkling with power clam that passes right underneath me. Things can only get better. Or I can chase the Splat Charger and come out worse. A squidmate does better, scoring a power clam, so between that and getting splatted I have a few seconds to centre myself. I sit back, anticipating the inevitable orange counter-attack, and almost don't stop it. I get the splat, just about, and my squidmates suer-jump back, as I fling myself off a ledge to shoot/avoid a Crab, happy to land on turf and not thin air. The Splat Charger sees me and looks to splat me. I try to splat them first, thinking I will have the advantage at close range. I'm not wrong, just bad at aiming.

My squidmates stop another power clam, keeping our basket empty. I push forwards looking for a splat, and seeing a Splat Roller maybe not paying enough attention to their back. The Splash-o-matic is around too, though, and I struggle again to get my ink in the right place. I get the splat, with a touch of luck, only to be finished off by the roller anyway. Our position remains strong, at least, and I rush back to maybe prevent an attack which doesn't manifest, so push up to look for opportunities in the middle turf. One presents itself, which I miss, so I push further forwards, where I get surrounded. How I get out with two splats is a bit of a result.

I probe forwards with Curling Bombs, and dodge Inkstrikes with my squidmates, one of which ignores them and just breaks the orange barrier. Nice! I move up behind a Curling Bomb that bounces favourably for me, and I get to score my first clam. If only I had some more. I go looking, find two more, score them, and press our advantage, splatting the Splat Charger in front of us, and the Splat Roller coming from behind. The Aerospray is out looking for clams too, which is where I find them and splat them too. The basket closes, though, and a Crab is guarding a swift second score, so I retreat to safety.

I pick up the Aerospray's dropped clams, find some more, and get enough for a power clam. That makes me a target, but I have a Hammer in my pocket. I pull it out and start stamping, bagging a couple more splats that contribute to an orange wipeout, leaving the basket free for some clean scoring. I get my clams in, and soon behind is a power clam that finishes the battle. Woomy!
