Assassin's Creed II - Sequence 12; Once gathering all of the Codex Pages, Ezio ventures to Roma, where he finally confronts Rodrigo Borgia. Meanwhile, Desmond and the others plan their escape.

Before entering the last memory of this game, we need to collect the last remaining Codex Pages that we've forgotten throughout the gameplay. Fortunately, Ezio has a map that will help collect the remaining Codex Pages scattered all across Italy. Oddly enough, all of these Codex Pages are found in small rich-like structures which are guarded by the Templar Soldiers. Fortunately, getting in is pretty easy, if you get creative enough. But once collecting all of the Codex Pages, the last memory is unlocked, and we can finally finish the game once and for all. However, I won't be showing you where to find it. That's for you to figure out. After all, it wouldn't be as fun if I were to show you the locations.

Having collected the last Codex Page, Ezio joins with the other assassins to assemble the Codex Pages in the wall that Mario has laid out. By putting the pieces together, and using Eagle Vision, Ezio discovers that it contains a map of the world, lands yet to be discovered, and locations of other pieces of Eden. But the Vault they mentioned is found in Roma and requires two Pieces of Eden to open. It would make sense as to why the Spaniard became Pope in the first place. After all, he carries the staff, which is also a piece itself. The other assassins will provide a distraction, while Ezio infiltrates the church and confronts Rodrigo.

Ezio narrowly fails, but gains a chance to confront the Spaniard, defeating him for good. He unlocks the secret of the Valut, discovering a message from those that came before; not gods, but an advanced race. This one in particular, named Minerva, speaks to Desmond, using Ezio as her proxy to relay said message. Something catastrophic is going to happen soon; it happened once, and they're all due for another round. Desmond must seek out the Temples so that they can shelter themselves from the looming threat. Once the message is done, Minerva vanishes, leaving Ezio to only question more of what happened.

Meanwhile, in the present day, Desmond, Shaun, Rebecca, and Lucy, all prepare their equipment as Abstergo has found their hideout. They managed to fend off the soldiers, led by Warren Vidic, the same man responsible for putting Desmond through that hellhole in the first game. Desmond and the others manage to escape, as the assassins review the situation they now find themselves in.
