I never played Assassin's Creed II before; I only saw the trailers advertising the game at the time. But now that I've got it, it's time to try it out for the first time. I remember prior to buying the game, that people were going on about how Ezio was their favorite character, so now I'm curious as to what makes him so likable. For now, just enjoy reading a long and narrative description of the game.

Assassin's Creed II starts with Desmond monologuing to himself, immediately leaving off where Assassin's Creed had ended; staring at the crypt wall via Bleeding Effect. Suddenly Lucy returns, having changed and in a rush to leave Abstergo. Desmond follows along with Lucy's plan, briefly reliving the moment when our main character, Ezio Auditore da Firenze is born. Once gathering enough information, Lucy and Desmond escape Abstergo, eventually traveling to a warehouse.

There, Desmond meets two more Assassin members, Shaun Hastings and Rebecca Crane. It is there that they will teach Desmond how to become an Assassin to fight against the modern-day Templars, using Ezio's memory as the training simulation, while also searching for clues for something important. Once Desmond gets back into the Animus 2.0, a.k.a Baby, he is there for almost the entirety of the game, while everyone else monitors the situation.

Assassin's Creed II takes place during the Renaissance, where we meet a carefree Ezio Auditore da Firenze who gathers people to fight against Vieri de' Pazzi. After a brief scuffle, Ezio is greeted by Federico who takes him to a doctor to get that pretty face of his fixed up. Then after climbing up a church roof, the two decide to head home, but not before Ezio decides to meet up with his love, Cristina... only to get busted by her father, prompting Ezio to run away as quick as he could.

The rest of Ezio's day consists of aiding his family, from beating the bricks off of Duccio, to helping the great Leonardo da Vinci move some paints back to the Auditore house. But as night falls a string of events begin to unfold. Ezio's family was attacked, with his father and brothers being placed in prison, leaving only his sister and mother. Ezio investigates this strange incident, heeding the words of his father to bring a document to Uberto Alberti. But Alberti betrays Ezio later that day, killing his father and two brothers, forcing him to hide from the guards for now.
