Assassin's Creed II - Sequence 4; Ezio tracks down Francesco de' Pazzi. With the help of La Volpe, the assassin was able to uncover the Templar's plan for Firenze.

Ezio does some small renovations to Monteriggoni, while also uncovering the Armor of Altaïr with his uncle Mario. To achieve full sync with Ezio, the armor must be recovered, and to do so six seals must be collected all across Italy, so it's going to take some time before we even get to wear the armor.

Regardless, Ezio meets up with Leonardo, learning new assassination techniques while the polymath creates a new hidden blade for him. After testing his new techniques and the hidden blade, the assassin searches around the Mercato in search of La Volpe, a thieving cutthroat who seems to have some opposition against the Templars, as he aids the assassin in finding their hideout within the Novella catacombs. After some parkour and killing some soldiers guarding the catacombs, Ezio eventually comes across the Templar meeting, confirming that Francesco is attempting to conquer Firenze for the Pazzi, or rather the Templars.

Realizing this threat, Ezio escapes the catacomb while also recovering the first Assassin seal needed to unlock the Armor of Altaïr. He reveals the plan to La Volpe, who expresses concern over the takeover, especially when the assassination is going to take place at High Mass, where everyone will be watching. Ezio reassures La Volpe that it will not happen, as the two depart to go their separate ways. When the time comes, Ezio blends among the crowd to observe the Medici approaching the church. That's when the ambush happened, with Lorenzo's brother Giuliano being the first to die at the hands of Francesco. Attempts to kill Lorenzo fail, however, with Ezio intervening just in time.

Although Lorenzo had been saved by Ezio, his survival would be for nothing if his supporters were to die. To stop this madness, Ezio hunts down Francesco at night, as soldiers from each side fight against each other. Soon, the assassin comes face to face with Francesco, killing him during his attempt to flee. His body was hung up on the building's roof, forcing the other Templars to flee and create a new plan.
