0Assassin's Creed II - Sequence 11; Savonarola has taken over Ezio's home, Firenze, plaguing it with despair and misery upon the population. Ezio must liberate his home and put an end to his tyranny.

Arriving in Firenze, Ezio discovers that his home has been turned completely upside down. The citizens of Firenze are in utter misery and despair, and it's all because of that monk, Savonarola. Through his time in Firenze, the mad monk has attempted to cleanse the city of evil, believing that things such as art and wealth are a part of said evil. This is whats known as the Bonfire of Vanities, an attempt made by Savonarola to revert Firenze back into a more medieval setting. Surprisingly, the soldiers belonging to Rodrigo Borgia attempted to enter Firenze, but they are only sent back in pieces.
Having seen enough treachery caused by the Apple, Ezio plans to liberate his home by eliminating each fanatical leader. One by one, each of the fanatics was eliminated, from the heretics to those suppressing the people's resources, to restricting their movement, and even those burning away Firenze's culture. Once all had been said and done, the other assassin begin to rally the people, together confronting Savonarola to demand he step down. Just as he is about to use the Appele against the people, Ezio stops him and recovers it before anyone else can take it.
The people would tie up Savonarola, setting him on fire to make him burn for what he had done. Ezio instead, kills him quickly, delivering a speech to his people afterwards. In the end, the people have the right to seek out their own variations of the truth; there is no one, nothing, that can show them the answers. But they can guide you to your own answers. Once finished with his speech, Ezio returns back to Uncle Mario's home. But there's one last thing he needs to do before confronting the Spaniard.
