Feels like it's been a minute, but I've been hard at play charting out these videos. Last time, we finished up the 'Distant Future' era's story with our protagonist, Cube. It was a neat little creepy story, wasn't it? Now let us dive backwards through time again and journey to the 'Twilight of Edo Japan'. This appears to be the longest era, with two secret bosses and other optional stuff. Let's dive on in...

CHAPTER 6 - OBOROMARU (TWILIGHT OF EDO JAPAN)

We'll start things off with a series of cut scenes. It seems the head of the Ode clan has capture an important person, who at this point is not clear. Elsewhere, two others plot that person's rescue. They enlist the help of Oboromaru, a promising young shinobi, to infiltrate the Ode clan's castle.

You're given a map of the castle, but there's a lot to do here and we won't be heading directly to our goal just yet. There's also an additional caveat to this mission. You can either kill or not kill. You're given a special ninja skill called 'Shadowed Self' in order to avoid detection. If you decide to not kill on this mission, you'll be treated to some additional dialogue and a special weapon (that provides no stats boost). Up to you.

Personally, I found this kind of challenging, so I decided to kill everyone, simply for the EXP. After the first two sets of guards, you'll make your way inside for the first time. You'll watch a cutscene where they discuss the passwords, which will be either 'river' or 'origin'. It will change periodically, however Oboromaru will say the current password.

If you really want to kill everybody, everybody then you'll need to purposely give the wrong password whenever possible. Usually saying 'potato' will get the job done, but there's one guy who will only catch on if you give the opposite password. Seriously, he's so lame. He was like, "Yeah, I like potato's too!".

The first indoor area, you can pretty much clean out and wander around at your pleasure. Some fights are tougher than others, but you should be able to get a hang of the combat fairly easily. Our main objectives in this video are getting the storehouse key and then getting the dungeon key in the storehouse. After that, it's time to take a break. We should be about a quarter of the way through with this scenario.
