Glad to be able to finally get out a clip of Ngo reading superchats, that’s one of my favorite types of streams she does. I love her banter with chat, and how she can come up with routines like this on the spot in response to some ridiculous comment. She always makes just reading superchats so entertaining, even for things like a blank superchat or someone joining her membership she always has a hilarious verbal copypasta ready to go. Also, I love how this was before BDSP came out, so Ngo just loves Sinnoh so much that she can sing the Route 201 theme from memory of the originals.

I make these clips in large part to practice my not so great Japanese. My friend Cherem helps me with them which I really appreciate and makes them a lot better. I like to leave detailed translator’s notes to provide extra explanations and help people understand why I chose to translate certain things in certain ways.

0:08 While in the western versions, these are of course called a “pokemon professor,” in the original versions their title is really closer to “pokemon doctor” (as in like they have a doctorate in pokemon). I also want to point out that, as is normal in Japanese, she says the word “parentheses” out loud like a dork. (cute)
