#SuperOldGameSaturday - Sailor Moon: Another Story (Super Famicom) - Part 3
Originally Recorded/Aired on May 14th, 2022
We've arrived at Part 3 of our current RPG on #SuperOldGameSaturday 1995's Sailor Moon: Another Story for the Super Famicom, as requested by DollyFinn who joined me in the chat for this one and she, like you, will see first-hand just how hard this game is now getting with our next 5 hours with this Japan-only title. Lord Apsu and the Opposito Senshi mean business when it comes to their plot to rewrite the destinies of the world, which is shown in this part with the length of many of the battles (most being against characters that will be familiar to Sailor Moon R fans), constant item usage and the full-force of the game's status effects, including illusion, infatuation, sleep and worst of all, stoning. That being said, we still have the strength of the Sailor Scouts/Senshi to help us out (especially Time Stop from Sailor Pluto, which is a godsend), we did reach the game's final chapter, we still had a good time continuing to guide Sailor Moon and her friends on their quest and, as the thumbnail indicates, we DID finish the puzzle from our constant fights and by returning to two areas we previously visited for the hidden puzzle pieces, which WILL help us significantly in the next part (or next two parts, if it comes to that, which I think it will, given the last hour of this part). Most of the chat discussion was on this game, Sailor Moon, the increasing difficulty and how level-grinding is a factor in this and other RPGs, but we also went a bit deeper into the idea of anime as an artform that we previously touched upon in Part 1, talked about the RPGs coming down the pipeline for this program and also saw just how indelible a part of the Sailor Moon lore this game is in terms of how it elaborates further on characters that weren't seen often in the show or even a few of the movies. So, we're making our way through this and we won't be stopped, and I've been enjoying our experience with this one and once again thank the chat for their continued interest and involvement. Hope you enjoy how Part 3 turned out and look forward to Part 4 next month (and if you like what you see here, stop by https://www.twitch.tv/captainditrag each Saturday at 7 PM EST to see these streams live and join/help drive the conversations on what we play each week)!
